What Seymour stores, and why.

Last updated October 10, 2026. Seymour is made by High5 Labs LLC, 4030 Wake Forest Road, Ste 349, Raleigh, NC 27609.

What Seymour stores

  • Your account: your name if you gave one, your email address, and a hashed password. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
  • What you save: the addresses you send to Seymour, a cleaned-up copy of each page's text and images so you can read it out of the original page's clutter, and details such as title, author and publication. Email you forward to your private save address is stored the same way.
  • Narration: spoken versions of what you saved, made by a text-to-speech engine and kept so they never have to be made twice.
  • Reading state: your queue order, archive, favorites, tags, highlights and notes, playback position, and the Feeding Log of what you listened to and when, so your devices agree with each other.
  • Diagnostics: a short record of what the app did (a save, a play, a failed fetch), kept for 14 days so a problem you report can be read back rather than reconstructed from memory.
  • Billing: which plan you are on and when it renews. Your card is held by Stripe, our payment processor; it never touches Seymour's servers.

What Seymour does not do

  • No ads, no trackers, and no analytics beyond server logs.
  • What you save is yours. It is never shared, sold, published, or used to train anything.
  • Nothing you save is read by a person unless you ask for help with it.

Who else touches your data

  • Stripe processes payments and holds your card and billing address.
  • OpenAI receives the text of an article when you choose one of the premium voices, ask for a summary, or ask a question about an article. The free voices run on our own machine and send nothing anywhere. No account information travels with any of it.
  • Resend delivers the email Seymour sends you, which today is a password reset.
  • Postmark receives the email you forward to your private save address and hands it to Seymour.
  • Netlify serves this website, and Google Fonts serves its two typefaces, so each sees the address of a browser that opens a page.

Deleting data

Deleting an item removes its stored copy and its narration. Deleting your account removes everything: write to support@saveseymour.com from the address you signed up with and it is done.
